Nanotubes

These nanotubes are becoming the workhorses of Nanotechnology. They are fairly easy to make. They can be assembled into a variety of structures and, most important, they can be filled. This makes them useful for controlled release such as drugs. They can even be used to form self repairing composites which heal themselves if opened during cracking.
